Since l930 the firm of A.L. Columbus has been producing high quality race tubes known for lightness, durability and precision. Columbus Tubes are available in Chromoly, Nivacrom and stainless steel. All tubes are seamless.

Ultra Foco - Ultra Foco is Columbus' top of the line steel tube set. Ultra Foco is a steel alloy tube set projected to reach weight similar to aluminum. This allows high performance frames to be built where lightness and stiffness are required. A 54 cm. frame set weight will weight just l,037 grams. Ultra Foco is an extremely versatile tube set. It can be built using lugged or fillet construction techniques. The wide variety of tubes in different sizes, shapes and thickness allow for this tube set to be used in both road and track events. Genius - Genius tubing was first introduced in 1991. Made from Nivacrom steel, Genius tubing was the first of the Columbus tube sets to introduce "mega oversized"  tubes. Genius tubing saves weight by only butting portions of the tube that are under the greatest stress. Using Genius tubing, we select from 3 different sets to accommodate small, medium and large riders. Genius tubing can be constructed using lugged or luggless techniques. Columbus offers special Genius lugs to match this tube set. Genius tubing makes for an excellent road or track bike. Zona - Zona is a tube set that offers a reasonable compromise between weight and strength. Using Nivacrom it is possible to obtain a product with characteristics of lightness and stiffness. Rigidity and lightness are the most important characteristics of this tube set, and with a very good price / performance ratio. Zona can be constructed using both lugged and Fillet brazed techniques. Zona is also an excellent choice for the heavier rider. A wide variety of tubes in different sizes and shapes allow us to build an extremely competitive bike for the road or track. Thron - Thron Tube Sets have lightness, rigidity, and a very good price / performance ratio. This double butted tube set can be lugged or fillet brazed. Its double butted wall thickness allow it to be an excellent entry level choice for both road and track. Brain - We strongly recommend Columbus Brain for cyclecross designs. This tube set is an excellent choice for creating a light, tough and strong cyclecross frame. Brain tubes feature round over-sized diameters that offer good resistance to accidental impacts. This allows for excellent durability for the life of the frame. Brain Tubes can either be lugged or fillet brazed. Large choice of wall thickness and butted diameters to strengthen your cyclecross frame. Brain tubing can also be used on either a road or track frame.
